Yola - The battle over who succeeds former Governor Murata Nyako who was impeached by the Adamwa State House of Assembly has taken a deeper dimension as some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders have vowed to work against the interest of the party following the defection of Nuhu Ribadu to the party.
They are angry with the party’s leadership over plans to impose Ribadu as the party’s candidate in the October 11 governorship election, reports Leadership.

The party stalwarts in the state, including the acting governor, Umaru Fintiri, former special adviser to the president on political matters, Ahmed Gulak, and a party chieftain in the state, Dr Panny Boga are not happy that Ribadu wants to benefit from a process he opposed.
They wondered why Ribadu who worked with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to frustrate the impeachment process of Nyako by members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly would now be the annointed candidate of the party.
