Abuja – George Akume, the Senate Minority leader, has claimed the recent crisis in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as a sign that the end is near for the party, Osun Defender reports.
According to Akume, the reason for the demise of the party is because they have abandoned the principles that the party was built on. He stated that he left the party because it had fallen so far, and was being run by ‘unpatriotic, insincere and excessively greedy people’.
He promoted the APC by saying that they are there to say and are a party for the people and Nigerians should not waste their time with the PDP.
