Ilorin - Less than 48 hours after the former Governor of Kwara State, now a serving Senator , Senator Bukola Saraki, officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), all the 16 Local Government Chairmen, Supervisory Councillors and 194 Councillors elected on the PDP platform in Kwara State, on Friday defected to the APC.
The chairmen and councilors who came together under the platform of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Kwara State chapter, declared their unalloyed allegiance to the APC, reports Naij
Abdulateef Okandeji, Protem Kwara State ALGON Chairman, said the decision to decamp was the inability of the national leaders of the PDP to address their complaints and grievances.
He said was the outcome of an extensive meetings spearheaded by Senator Bukola Saraki.
