Rivers - The embattled Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi said that his life was in danger as unknown security personnel were being deployed to his lodges in Port-Harcourt and Abuja without his approval, Vanguard reports.
The governor who was stoned with four other northern governors by anti-amaechi protesters at the Port-Harcourt Airport yesterday, said his life was no longer safe.
The governor had earlier called for the redeployment of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police for his inability to manage well the Rivers State Assembly crisis.
Meanwhile the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar had summoned the leader of the Rivers Assembly, Chidi Lloyd, and the Chief Security officer to Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Tony Iwelu to report to Force headquarters for interrogation.
