Port Harcourt - The immediate past governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi has dragged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to court over allegations that he stole over $757m (N80bn) belonging to the state while in office., reports New Telegraph.
Joined in the suit are the chairman of the PDP in the state, Felix Obuah, and two others.

Amaechi did not name the two other persons he joined in his suit.
He stated that the allegation is untrue, false, motivated by ill-will and without any foundations in truth whatsoever,
He said the allegation had done a lot of harm to his person and reputation and demanded N300bn as damages.
