Awka – The just concluded Anambra elections will have its day at the election tribunal as the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it would challenge the All Progressive Grand Alliance candidate, Willie Obiano victory in court, according to Thisday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared Obiano governor-elect after holding a supplementary election. In the final results Obiano won with 180 178 votes followed by the People’s Democratic Party Candidate(PDP) Tony Nwoye who came second with 97 200 votes.
All Progressives Congress, APC's Chris Ngige came third with 95 963 votes and Labour Party’s Ifeanyi Ubah polled 37 495 votes.
APC's interim National Publicity Secretary, Lai Muhammed said that the party will seek the cancellation of the supplementary elections in court.
