Akwa - The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Anambra Governorship election Chris Ngige has taken INEC to court over irregularities in the governorship election, Channelstv reports.
Ngige said that the election was marred with many electoral irregularities which INEC ought to have addressed while calling for the outright cancellation of the governorship election.
The APC candidate asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to provide his party with the certified register used in the election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Willie Obiano winner of the governorship election after securing a total of 180 708 votes in the supplementary elections conducted on the 30th November 2013.
