Yenagoa - There is palpable tension in the Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Thisday.
The tension is over who becomes the running mate to Timipre Sylva, the party’s governorship candidate in the December 5 governorship election in the state.
No fewer than six chieftains of the party in the state are jostling to become Sylva’s running mate in the election.

Those in the race of becoming Sylva’s deputy are: former deputy governor in the state, Werinipre Seibarugu, former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Nestor Binabo and the man who came second in the party’s primary election, Godknows Powell.
Other are the state chairman of the party, Tiwei Timipa Orunimighe and a former member of the House of Representatives, Warman Ogoriba,
Sylva is expected to name his deputy in a few days.
