Osogbo - Despite his re-election as the Governor of Osun State on Saturday, Rauf Aregbesola has berated President Goodluck Jonathan for gross abuse of power and due process.
Addressing a huge crowd of supporters shortly after he was declared winner, Aregbesola said t was so sad and unfortunate that the contest that should be a normal, routine process was allowed to snowball into a needless virtual war by the Jonathan led federal government and the People's Democratic Party, reports NewsDay.

He said that in spite of his victory, the process leading to the process was faulty.
He noted that his state was unduly militarised in an unprecedented manner through criminal intimidation and psychological assault on the people.
He stated that what should ordinarily have been a moment of joy and celebration was thwarted by the fact that the election showed that democracy in Nigeria is still endangered.
