Abuja - The battle for the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has pit former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, against former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, reports The Sun.
The battle is so fierce that if it is not properly handled would plunge the party into a fresh crisis.
Some chieftains of the party are in the trenches over who heads the yet-to-be-constituted BoT.

Some leaders of the party believed that the position should be given to Tinubu to placate him having lost out in his bid to produce the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Supporters of Atiku are, however, insisting that since Tinubu produced the National Chairman of the party, John Oyegun, single handedly, a neutral person should be allowed to emerge as the BoT Chairman so as to have an alternative voice.
