Yenagoa - Some prominent leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State rumoured to have dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC) have denied making such moves, reports Premium Times.
They described the reports of their defection to the APC as baseless as they neither showed willingness nor were they consulted to cross-carpet to another party.

A chieftain of the party in Bayelsa, Alex Ekiotene had on Monday claimed that many of the PDP stalwarts, including the former Managing Director of the NNDC, Timi Alaibe, former deputy governor, Peremobowei Ebebi, among others, were on the list of those decamping to the APC on Saturday.
Among those who have denied dumping the PDP for the APC are the former deputy governor of the state, Peremobowei Ebebi and former Minister of Transport, Festus Porbeni,
They stated that they remained committed members of the PDP and would work to ensure the party’s victory in the December 5 governorship election in the state.
