Yenagoa - There are strong indications that President Muhammadu Buhari and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, have settled for the former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva as the party’s candidate for the December 5 governorship election in the state, reports New Telegraph.
The duo decided to support Sylva to compensate him for his roles in the election of the President and the risk he supposedly took against former President, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

To firm up Sylva’s endorsement, a fresh panel to be made up of a retired military officer as chairman is likely to conduct the fresh governorship primary election.
The leadership of the party had earlier cancelled the governorship primary election won by Sylva.
A fresh exercise had been fixed for Tuesday but was later postponed to Wednesday.
