Abuja - In a bid to ensure a smooth sail for his ministerial nominees, President Muhammadu Buhari has started reaching out to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Senate, reports Punch.
The President’s action is predicated on the fear that some of the nominees may not scale through screening which is expected to commence next Tuesday, going by the opposition trailing their nominations.

The lobby came to the fore when Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, addressed a joint press conference on Tuesday in company with Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang.
Enang said he had initiated contact with the PDP senators as part of his duty to reach out to members of the National Assembly.
Akpabio, on his part, expressed satisfaction with the ministerial list presented by Buhari, noting that he would like to know what the nominees would offer Nigerians.
