Abuja - The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged a presidential aspirant under the party’s platform, Professor Akasoba Duke-Abiola, to come and pick up her expression of interest and nomination forms for 2015 presidential election, reports Tribune.
The party had initially refused to released the forms to her, noting that it has only printed one presidential nomination form.
Olisa Metuh, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Thursday, said Duke-Abiola’s refusal to collect the forms suggests an ulterior motive.
He noted that other aspirants, including Dr Ghalil Tafawa Balewa and President Goodluck Jonathan have collected their forms on October 30 and November 6 respectively.
He said the aspirant still has until the close of work on Friday to collect the forms after which the party will consider her as not being interested in the contest.
