Abuja - The Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) has begun moves to collapse its structures into the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to its poor financial status.
The party is also considering the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a second option should the APC bid fails, reports The Nation.

Bashir Magashi , National Chairman of the party, said the move became necessary considering the poor financial status of the party.
He said the party has not disbursed funds to state branches of DPP to rent and furnish secretariats since 2006 due to scarcity of resources.
The problem, he said, is caused by the fact that the party has no elected representative at the state or national level.
