Abuja - The five defected governors of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, have been given seven days to respond to a suit filed by the PDP, Vanguard reports.
The governors namely Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State, Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers, Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto, Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano and Abdulfatai Ahmed of Kwara State, all defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The plaintiff wants the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to declare their seats vacant, and also order that the deputy governor or Speaker of the State Houses of Assembly of the respective states, be sworn in to replace them.
