Asaba - Some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State have dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Thisday.
The defectors were led by Paulinus Akpeki, a former commissioner for housing in the state and chief of staff to the immediate past governor of the state, Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Other defectors included former commissioners, Ebifa Ijeomah, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, and Misan Kubeyinje.
Akpeki, who spoke on behalf of the defectors, said many other political heavyweights in the PDP are set to join the APC.
The defection of PDP leaders was coming at a time the rumour is rife of the impending defection of Uduaghan to the APC.
