Yenagoa - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disqualified two of the contenders for the party’s ticket in the December governorship election in Bayelsa State, reports Punch.
The disqualified aspirants are the senator representing Bayelsa-Central senatorial district, Senator Emmanuel Paulker and a former chairmen of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, Ebikintin Diongoli.

With the disqualification of the two aspirants, Gov. Seriake Dickson has emerged as the sole candidate of the party.
Despite Dickson;s emergence as the party’s sole candidate, the party still plan to conduct a primary election to ratify his choice as the party’s candidate for the governorship election.
Paulker and Diongoli have, however, appealed their disqualification before the PDP’s Appeal Panel.
