Yenagoa - Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has called on senators from the state not to oppose the nomination and screening of the ministerial nominee from the state, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, reports Punch.
Dickson urged the senators to ensure Lokpobiri gets a hitch-free screening exercise on the floor of the Senate when he appears before the whole Senate.

Dickson made the call when the members on the aegis of National Assembly Caucus Forum paid a condolence visit to him in Government House, Yenagoa, over the demise of Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, former Governor of the state.
The governor said the unity and progress of the state should be placed above party affiliation and selfish interests.
Lokpobiri was in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with Dickson before dumping the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC)
