Dickson’s aide dumps PDP for APC

03 August 2015, 15:13

Yenagoa - An aide of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has dumped the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for the opposition, All Progressive Congress (APC), reports National Mirror.

The aide, Ebitemi Amgbare, who is the General Manager of Bayelsa State Transport Authority, also resigned his appointment to formally decamp to the APC.

Amgbare, who was the flag bearer of the defunct Action Congress (AC) in the 2007 gubernatorial poll in the state, said his decision to return to the APC was due the inability of Governor Dickson to allow him interpret the progressive and pragmatic development vision in the state transport sector.

Amgbare, who is regarded as a political son to the first executive governor of the state,  D.S.P Alamieyeiseigha, said his political future is not tied to Governor Dickson or Alamieyeiseigha.

He dismissed the insinuations that he may not find sound footing within the APC due to past relationship with a former governor of the state, Timipre Sylva and his relationship with Alamieyeiseigha.
