Abakaliki - The crisis rocking the Ebonyi State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has worsened, reports Premium Times.
The party’s Chairman, Sabastine Obyia, was on Saturday suspended for anti-party activities, gross misconduct and incompetence.
In a resolution signed by the 25 State Executive Council members during their emergency meeting, the members said the party members have lost confidence in the leadership of the party under Obyia.

They accused Obyia, of unlawfully suspending the party’s financial and organizing secretaries, Emmanuel Ibe and Augustine Nwankwo, respectively, after the duo resisted Obyia’s connivance with some politicians in the state to highjack the party to achieve their selfish ambitions.
Odoh Fidelis and Augustine Uguru have been appointed the acting Chairman and Secretary of the party.
