Ado Ekiti - Stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State have expressed support for the nomination of Femi Falana as a minister in the federal cabinet, reports National Mirror.
The party chieftains said Falana is qualified for the office of minister based on his antecedents as advocate of good governance and defender of human rights.

The APC stakeholders, who are from the Ekiti South-West Council Area of the state, noted that the appointment of the rights activist, who they described as a completely neutral person, is the best thing that can happen to the party in the state.
They stated that Falana would be in the best position to rally all factions of the party in the state for success in future elections.
After an emergency meeting held in Ado Ekiti, the capital on Tuesday, the stakeholders dismissed the petitions against Falana’s appointment as ill-intentioned, warning the petitioners to desist.
The meeting was attended by former House of Assembly members, former council chairmen, former party state executive committee members and all the party executives in all the wards in Ilawe Ekiti where Falana hails from.
