Ekiti PDP lambasts Soyinka

Ado Ekiti - For describing that the defeat of the outgoing Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, as a mystery, Prof Wole Soyinka has come under heavy criticism from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The party said the statement was “a product of stomach honorarium, reports Punch.

The party in a statement by its Ekiti State Publicity Secretary, Kola Oluwawole, said it was wrong for Soyinka to describe the election as a mystery considering the fact that incumbent governor lost the election in all the 16 local government areas in the state.

He said Soyinka was only justifying the money spent to his trip to the Ekiti having been brought to the state for the inauguration of the new Government House in a chartered helicopter paid from the coffers of the state.

Soyinka had during the inauguration of the new Government House said the defeat of Gov.Kayode Fayemi in the Ekiti guber election was a mystery that must be unraveled .
