Abuja - A governorship aspirant in Ekiti under the Peoples Democratic Party, Otunba Reuben Famuyibo, has advised the government to utilise any loan facility obtained to better the lives of the people.
Famuyibo gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Wednesday.
He also cautioned against the taking of loan facilities in order not to put the state in a financial difficulty.
The aspirant said the caution became imperative so that government could be cautious in obtaining any loan.
He said that Ekiti needed urgent attention for it to respond to all emerging challenges.
Famuyibo said the government should ensure that it did not allow the incoming government to be faced with debt repayment instead of executing developmental projects.
He said PDP was more than prepared to re-claim the state during the next governorship election.
“It is necessary for the PDP to win the next election,” he added.
