Ex-Ogun governor promises to lead LP to victory

19 December 2013, 07:43

Abuja - A former Governor of Ogun, Chief Gbenga Daniel, said that he would ensure victory for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2015 general elections in the state.

Daniel said: ”The process of rebuilding Labour Party in Ogun is in progress; LP will soon be the party to beat in Ogun.”

“There are coalitions of factions from other political parties that have concluded plans to join the LP in Ogun.”

After receiving Daniel and his entourage, the National Chairman of the party, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, urged the former governor  to work for the victory of the party in the 2015 general elections.

“The party leadership wants Gbenga Daniel to mobilise support for the LP across Ogun,” he said.

Daniel was accompanied to the secretariat by a former Minister of Mines, Alhaji Tunji Ishola, and Gboyega Isiaka, governorship candidate of PPN in Ogun in 2011, among others.
