Abuja - The former Senate Chief Whip, Bello
Hayatu Gwarzo, has charged Nigerians to use the occasion of the nation’s 55th
Independence Anniversary to rekindle the spirit of patriotism.
Gwarzo also congratulated the citizenry for the
independence and urged Nigerians to continue respecting leaders at all levels.
“We have to appreciate our founding fathers who struggled
for the country's independence,” he said.

“Unity and patriotism are of our paramount and we must
appreciate that the country's independence is now 55 years” he added.
The former lawmaker also showered praise on the Nigerian
Armed Forces for their relentless efforts to keep the nation one.
