Ex-Speaker dumps APC for PDP

25 August 2015, 13:14

Ado Ekiti - There are strong indications that the former Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Femi Bamisile, may rejoin the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports National Mirror.

As part of move to return to the PDP, the former Speaker has met with the Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose .

The Commissioner for the Environment, Bisi Kolawole and two prominent members of the PDP were also present at the meeting.

Bamisile, who was deputy chairman of Ekiti State PDP until June 2014 when he defected to the APC to pitch tent with former Governor Kayode Fayemi, had since early in the year declared his intention to contest the governorship under the APC platform.
