Lagos -  Prominent South- West politicians under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have been at political loggerheads for many years now are now reconciling their differences ahead of the 2015 general elections.

The move is to deliver the zone for President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 Presidential election and as well unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the region, reports The Guardian.

One of such occasions was when the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) conferred the former South West PDP Deputy National Chairman,  Olabode George, with the Mandela Icon Award in Lagos.

Those that attended the event included the former Speaker, House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, Chairman of the South-West PDP Organisation and Mobilisation Committee, Buruji Kashamu, former Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe, Lagos PDP Chairman,  Tunji Shelle, former Minister of Transport, Ebenezer Babatope and former Governor of Oyo State, Alao Akala.
