Yola- Few hours after an Abuja Federal High Court asked him to immediately vacate office as Acting Governor of Adamawa State, Umar Fintiri has instructed his lawyers to appeal the judgement of the court, reports NewsDay.
Fintiri who was reacting to the judgement of Justice Ademola Adeniyi, said he has also asked his lawyers to apply for a stay of execution on the judgement pending the determination of an appeal at the Court of Appeal.

Adeniyi had in his ruling said the swearing-in of Fintiri as acting governor was illegal and unconstitutional.
He ordered the state Chief Judge to swear-in the former deputy governor of Adamawa state, Bala Ngilari, as the substantive governor of the state.
