Gbajabiamila replies Tambuwal

12 August 2015, 14:14

Abuja - Few hours after the Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal opened up on the role he played in the emergence of Yakubu Dogara as Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Majority of Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila has replied him, reports Premium Times.

Gbajabiamila had contested the seat with Dogara but lost out.

Gbajabiamila in his response to Tambuwal's confession said he has since moved on since the defeat.

He said he wished Tambuwal the best in his future undertakings .

Tambuwal, who is the immediate past Speaker, had on Sunday said that although he had strong affinity with Gbajabiamila, he, alongside seven other principal officers of the last Assembly, opted for Dogara to become the new Speaker.

Many had expected Tambuwal to support Gbajabiamila’s bid because of Gbajabiamila’s role in his emergence as Speaker of the 7th Assembly.

Surprisingly, Tambuwal supported Dogara, who was one of those opposed to his ambition to become Speaker in 2011.
