Ado Ekiti - A group, the Ekiti Democratic Coalition (EDC) has accused former governor of Lagos, Bola Tinubu and the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi of offering the 15 All Progressives Congress House of Assembly members in Ekiti N800 million to impeach the state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, reports Daily Independent.

The group alleged that each of the lawmakers got N50 million, while the Speaker, Adewale Omirin, was given N100 million.

A statement signed by the group’s Coordinator, Aderemi Olaleye, said the lawmakers met with Tinubu, and Fayemi in Lagos on Tuesday to perfect the plan.

The group noted that the lawmakers have been told to use the dissolution of local councils caretaker committees as the basis for the impeachment.
