Osogbo - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State has denied accusation by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that it is planning to frustrate the election tribunal process in the state, reports The Nation.
The commission through its chief public affairs officer, Adenike Tadese said hat the allegation that INEC resident electoral commissioner, Ambassador Rufus Oloruntoyin Akeju plans to reduce the workforce engaged by the PDP to carry out inspection of ballot papers is false.
She noted that the directive to reduce workforce during the inspection exercise was not targeted at a particular party but to bring sanity to the exercise.
She said the commission took the step to to manage the size of the crowd at the inspection site.
