Jalingo - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied supervising any primary that produced the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the April 11, 2015 governorship election held in Taraba state, reports Leadership.
The commission told the Taraba State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja that none of its staff was in attendance when the primary election took place.

During the hearing of the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the PDP victory at the election, an INEC official, Aminu Idris, told the tribunal that the commission did not supervise the primary that produced the PDP candidate for the election.
The PDP counsel, Solomon Akuma, however, countered the submission and showed the tribunal documents showing that there was a primary election of the party that produced Darius Ishaku as its governorship candidate for the said election.
