Akure - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has faulted the swearing-in of two lawmakers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilaje 1 and 2 state constituencies in Ondo State, reports Premium Times.
The commission said elections in these constituencies remained inconclusive.
INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Segun Agbaje noted that the inauguration of the two lawmakers was inappropriate given that the matter on the outcome of the exercise in these constituencies was still pending.

He stated that it was wrong for the two PDP members to be sworn-in because they have not been given certificate of return as winners of the election.
The two PDP members sworn-in are Abayomi Akinrutan (Ilaje 1) and Adeniyi Coker (Ilaje 2).
They took the oath of office at the inauguration of the 8 Assembly of the state on June1.
