Abuja - The Independent National Electorate Commission has been urged by the Federal Government to retain the core staff for the 2019 elections, Punch reported.
President Muhammadu Buhari has also been urged to administer and ensure that the next leadership is proven competence as INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega, is finishing his term soon.

The retention of INEC staff would provide an institutional memory as meeting was held to review the 2015 elections.
The electoral commission have further been urges to begin preparations for the next election by updating voter registers and avoiding distributing Permanent Voter Cards late.
This year there were problems with the voting system and therefore in 2019 everyone is wanted to participate in the elections without being disenfranchised.
