Ihedioha hits back at Okorocha

04 November 2015, 18:50

Owerri - Immediate Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha has slammed Gov. Rochas Okorochas of Imo State for asking him to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Daily Times.

Okorocha had on Monday stated that Ihedioha would still have been relevant in politics if he had accepted his plea to join the APC.

Ihedioha described Okorocha’s statement as diversionary and false in its entirety and something that could only come from a feeble mind.

Ihedioha stated that Okorocha did not visit him before the elections to plead with him to contest the senatorial seat of Owerri zone, in order to become the Senate President.

He said that he had no intention of leaving the PDP for any other party including the APC.

He urged Okorocha to leave him alone and concentrate on how to address the mounting issues of hunger; over nine months of workers’ salary and 20 months pension arrears, industrial actions, collapsed economy and comatose state of infrastructure under his watch.
