Imo governorship hopeful makes power pledge

29 October 2014, 09:01Augustine Osayande

Abuja - The Imo State gubernatorial election aspirant of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Jerry Chukwueke, has pledged to build an independent power plant in the state if elected into office in the 2015 poll.

Chukwueke made the promise when he obtained the nomination form at the party national secretariat in Abuja.

According to him the facility would enhance a massive industrial and agricultural revolution and thus would form his priority if he emerged victorious.

He said that with an in-depth private sector experience on his side, he was in the best of positions for the strategic-engineering of the state.

The grass root politician described the work ahead as “challenging task that needs an experienced and courageous politician to surmount.”

He thanks the party for given equal opportunity to all the aspirants and promise to work with other aspirants after the party primaries.
