Abuja - The immediate past chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega on Tuesday offered suggestions on how Nigeria can have credible elections in 2019, reports Peoples Daily.
Jega who was speaking on the Hausa Service of the BBC, said for further elections to be successful certain issues must be put in place.

He said among the things to consider are to constitute the commission with people of integrity, trust and reliability that would not in any way put the country into shame
He also said that for election to be successful, there should be a documented “peace pact” to be acceptable to all candidates before elections.
He added that there should also be a synergy between politicians, civil society and security agencies.
