Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan officially presented the resignation letter of the national chairman of the People's Democratic Party, Bamanga Tukur, to the National Executive Committee of the party at the party's secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, according to Sahara Reporters.
The president who read the content of the letter, stated that the former chairman was a victim of circumstances as he had not done anything wrong to warrant his ouster.
President Jonathan promised to re-assign the former chairman to a bigger position as a means of compensating him.
Sources believed the PDP former chairman could be made Nigeria’s ambassador to China.
