Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has directed all aspirants including President Goodluck Jonathan to indicate their interest to vie for elective positions latest by October 30, reports Vanguard.
The party said Jonathan and others wishing to contest the 2015 general elections under the platform must do so by then by obtaining the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms by next Thursday.
The party said the October 30 deadline for the close of sales of the documents will not be extended.
Olisa Metuh, the party’s National Publicity Secretary while briefing journalists at the end of the party’s weekly National Working Committee (NWC) meeting on Wednesday in Abuja said President Jonathan must first collect the forms because the party cannot go for a national convention to ratify someone who has not indicated interest to contest.
