Jonathan resolves disagreement in PDP

10 January 2013, 09:02 -

Abuja -  The PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur said on Wednesday that the disagreement within the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Party has been resolved.

Tukur disclosed this after a meeting summoned by President Goodluck Jonathan with members of the NWC at the Presidential Villa.

Addressing State House correspondents after the closed door meeting which lasted for over two hours, Tukur said that the disagreement which was based on principle had been resolved.

``PDP National Working Committee is the first family of PDP. ``I can assure that like any other family, there may be disagreements but based on principle, not disagreement for anything.

We have resolved all our differences. ``I am here with the secretary of the party, deputy national chairman, the women leader and our mouthpiece. ``I am the father of the party.

I am the family head and therefore, I am here to tell you everything you want to know. I can tell you that we are one and the same,’’ he said.

Vice President Namadi Sambo, the National Secretary of the Party, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the Party National Publicity Secretary, Olisah Metuh and the National Women Leader, Mrs Kema Chikwe among others, attended the meeting.
