Abuja — The presidency is not fazed by the recent defection by some governors from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
According to Vanguard , this was made known by the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Ahmed Gulak, who said that the move had no effect on the PDP.
Gulak said that the governors were creating a distraction and that their defection had removed the distraction. He said that the PDP was still ready to reconcile with the rebelious governors.
The five rebel governors namely Rotimi Amaechi(Rivers); Rabiu Kwakwanso (Kano); Murtala Nyako(Adamawa); Abdulfatah Ahmed(Kwara) and Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto) on Tuesday defected to the APC.
