Yenagoa - Despite reports that former President Goodluck Jonathan is supporting the re-election bid of Gov Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, some kinsmen of Jonathan on Sunday dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports The Sun.
The defectors, who are mainly from Ogbia Local Government Area of the state, lamented the failure of the PDP to attract development to the area.

Speaking under the aegis of Ogbia United Front for Change ( OUFC), the defectors said all their expectations from Jonathan throughout his tenure as deputy governor up to the time he served as President on the platform of the PDP, had been dashed.
Inengite Markson, coordinator of the group, said members have lost confidence in the ability of the party to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
He said the group has resolved to pitch its tent with the APC to ensure that the party wins the December governorship election.
