Kebbi approves reappointment of electoral commissioner

The Kebbi State House of Assembly on Tuesday confirmed the reappointment of Zubairu Kamba as a commissioner in the State Independent Electoral Commission.

The request for Kamba’s reappointment was presented to the Assembly by Gov. Saidu Dakingari, after his tenure expired five months ago.

In the request, the governor said that Kamba’s reappointment would further maintain the balance of the people’s diversity, while ensuring a fair representation of the senatorial districts in the commission. The Speaker, Habibu Jega, presided over the session in which Kamba’s reappointment was unanimously endorsed by all the legislators.
