Lokoja - The Kogi Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Elders Advisory Council has endorsed the second term bid of the state governor, Idris Wada, reports Vanguard.
The council announced its decision to support Wada at a news briefing on Monday in Lokoja.
Chairman of the council, Ibrahim Idris, said the elders and some critical stakeholders in the party from across the state, took the decision at a meeting held in Lokoja on August 16.

Idris, the immediate predecessor of Wada, said the elders decided to support Wada because of his good performance and quality leadership.
He said the elders have also resolved to allow Kogi West or Kogi Central produce the next governorship candidate of the party in 2019.
Those who attended the Lokoja meeting were the state party Chairman, Sam Ohuotu, Shola Akanmode, retired Lt.-Gen. Salihu Ibrahim, Moses Okino, Shola Ojo, Musa Amodu, Patrick Adaba among others.
