Kogi commissioners deny dumping the PDP for APC

22 October 2015, 18:52

Lokoja - Cabinet members of Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State have dismissed reports of their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Daily Trust.

The cabinet members, who spoke under the aegis of Forum of Commissioners and Special Advisers, said they remained resolute to deliver votes for their boss in the November 21 governorship election in the state.

Spokesperson of the forum, Abdulrahman Wuya, described the report as a figment of the imagination of the writer.

He noted that the report, which was laced with malice, was to cause disaffection between the governor and his cabinet members.

The forum urged members and supporters of the PDP to ignore the story, stressing that PDP remained the party to beat in the election.
