Osogbo - Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, Fatai Akinbade, has lambasted those peddling rumours that he has stepped down for the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Rauf Aregbesola.
Akinbade described the rumour as a sign that Aregbesola and the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Iyiola Omisore, are afraid of his growing popularity, reports NewsDay.
He noted that neither him nor his party had any pact with the APC or the Peoples Democratic Party regarding the August 9 election.
Akinbade, who spoke in a statement issued by his Media Aide, Kayode Oladeji, said the LP is one big invisible party that will take over power from Aregbesola.
