Ekiti - Opeyemi Bamidele, a member of House of Representatives, has been selected as the governorship aspirant of the Labour Party in Ekiti State for the June 21 governorship election, Thisdayreports.
His emergence as the party candidate was observed by the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC's) delegation led by its administrative secretary, Emmanuel Agboola.
Bamidele, a former member of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), which later changed to All Progressives Congress (APC), decamped to the Labour Party in September, 2013.
