Lagos - The crisis bedeviling the Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) shows no sign of abating, reports Vanguard.
Despite intervention by the national leadership of the party that all members should sheathe their swords in the interest of peace, some members of the State Working Committee are bent on removing the embattled Chairman of the party, Tunji Shelle.

The committee, led by the interim state chairman, Owolabi Kamal Olorunoje while addressing leaders of the party urged Shelle to come forward and clear the air on the allegations leveled against him or face further sanctions.
The Olorunoje committee is believed to have the backing of the former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, who is bent on taking over the reins of power from Olabode George.
Shelle was accused of financial mismanagement and was removed by 34 members of the State Working Committee.
