Ibadan - The President of the Senate, David Mark, has denied that the Peoples Democratic Party Integration Committee for the South West was planning to impose a gubernatorial candidate on the Oyo State chapter of the party, reports Vanguard.
Mark, who was responding to an allegation by a group within the party that the Mark-led committee was plotting to impose a candidate on the state, said such plan was not part of the committee’s mandate.

Mark in statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publications, Kola Ologbondiyan assured PDP members in the state that they would choose the party’s flag bearer based on the conviction that the candidate can win the election.
He urged the party members to work together and return the party to power in the state.
